Rosalie Vendette

Rosalie Vendette is a sustainable finance expert with more than 15 years. Rosalie has developed a breath of knowledge from the various positions she held and initiatives she managed within the responsible investment community.

From 2009 to 2019, she was the leading responsible investment figure at Desjardins and coordinated the implementation of the Group’s decisions when it comes to environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria within Desjardins’ guidelines, business practices and disclosures.  From 2003 to 2009, Rosalie acquired a responsible investment expertise through a variety of projects and achievements at Groupe investissement responsable (GIR), a Quebec SME that provides information, research, and proxy voting services for institutional clients.

Rosalie is also active within a number of organizations related to her field of expertise. She is a member of Finance Montreal’ Working Group on Responsible Investment and a lecturer at Sherbrooke’s University on responsible investment. She was involved with the PRI Quebec Network between 2012 and 2019. She was also a member of the Canadian National Advisory Board of the G8 Taskforce on Social Impact Investing and a member of the board of directors of the Social Investment Organization (SIO) in 2008-2009 and 2012-2013.

Over the years, she has been involved in her community in different ways. She was vice-president, sustainable development and community relations at the Montreal Young Chamber of Commerce from 2009 to 2010. She was a board member at the YMCA of Quebec, at a charity for elderly called Petits Frères, at a religious community board and others. Finally, she chaired the 10th anniversary fundraising of Institut du Nouveau Monde.

Rosalie holds a bachelor degree in business administration from HEC-Montreal and a master in applied ethics at Sherbrooke’s University. She has successfully completed the Sustainable Investment Professional Certification (SIPC) offered by the John Molson School of Business at Concordia’s University and the second level of Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting credential, a SASB certification.
